Victory Day Tea

This year marks one hundred years since the end of the Great War; to commemorate this Drama Club and Choir put on a stunning tea party. We learnt all about what happened to Folkestone during the Great War as we followed the Miller family through their war. The choir sang well known songs from the war which sounded really beautiful. Paul Barton came and played the last post which was followed by two minutes silence. It was very moving. In addition to this amazing entertainment there was a fabulous tea with sandwiches and wonderful cake, served by some very well dressed waitresses. The cake that was left was sold and raised £50 for the Poppy appeal. Thank you to the PTFA who not only came and made tea but stayed on to clean up. We appreciate the effort that everyone went to by making and donating cake. Art Club and Year 3 had created wonderful art works so that the hall looked fabulous. Thank you to all the adults that worked so hard to ensure this wonderful event took place.
