Fourteen children from Yr.5 and Yr.6 headed to the Sports Centre this afternoon to play water polo.  There were ten teams entered from across the district.  Both our teams won their league without losing a game!  This meant they qualified for an all St Eanswythe’s final.  The final was very close with the scores levelling Continue reading

Football Match

On Monday we had two friendly matches against The Primary Academy.  Both games were played in good spirits and just finished before the rain came!  The blue team had a tough, closely fought match just managing to beat Primary Academy 4-3.  The red team formed mixed teams with the Primary Academy and enjoyed playing together.  Continue reading


Today we were lucky enough to have Josh Kennedy in to work with Years 4 and 6. He ran a Boxfit session with each of the classes. Sports Fun Day

Today Ducklings went to The Three hills to take part in a reception fun Day.  They were able to try lots of mini sports activities. As you can see form the photos we had lots of fun.

Multisports Activity

On the first day of term two, Year 4 had great fun participating in a new Shepway Sports Trust event called Multisports. Each child tried four sports, with two different activities for each sport. Sports Crew Training

On Monday twelve children from Yr.6 took part in School Games Crew training.  These children will be sports leaders across the school.  They worked to plan and organise an event for children from other schools to take part in and considered leadership skills.  They also thought about how to differentiate activities for different ages of Continue reading

Cross Country

Yesterday, twenty children from St Eanswythe’s took part in the Shepway School Games Cross Country event.  The Yr.4’s ran 1000m and the Yr5 and Yr.6 children ran 1600m!  Everyone finished the face and should be really proud of themselves.  Meredith came second in the Yr.6 girls’ race and Max came 5th in the Yr.6 boys’ Continue reading

Double Gold and Silver at Speed Stacking!

This afternoon we entered three teams in the Shepway School Games Speed Stacking competition.  The children had to use hand eye co-ordination to compete in twelve different stations.   These included one handed stacking, blindfolded stacking, team stacking and standard stacking.  The speed shown by everyone was amazing and the skill definitely improved across the afternoon.  Continue reading
