Urban Sports Festival

Today the whole of KS2 were lucky enough to participate in an Urban Sports Festival. Each class took part in nine activities out of a possible ten, which included: skateboarding, scootering, gymnastics, martial arts, boxing, yoga, skateboard design, fingerboarding, street football and street dance. Yesterday we took two teams to a netball tournament at Folkestone School For Girls. We played high five netball against many other schools. Everyone had a great time and improved their skills a lot.


Today we took sixteen children from years five and six to the Shepway School Games hockey tournament. Each team played eight games of hockey and improved as the day progressed. The blue team ended up in fifth place out of the sixteen teams which entered. The red team played really well and showed excellent sportsmanship. Continue reading


Well done to the St Eanswythes gymnasts that participated in the schools competition. A fantastic effort was made by all. We received both bronze and gold medals throughout the day as well as compliments on our outfits and glitter.

Herald Cup Match 5

Last Thursday we played our last Herald Cup game against Dymchurch Primary School.  It was a great game with good play from both schools.  We won the game 7-3 which puts us in third place in our group.  This means we go through to the quarter finals of the consolation cup.


Yesterday, some of Years 3 and 4 went to a football day at the Three Hills. They were kept very busy playing eleven games during the day with a break for lunch. It was non competitive so no score counting and no winners. Although very windy, the sun came out and the rain kept away. Continue reading
