Cross Country

Yesterday, twenty children from St Eanswythe’s took part in the Shepway School Games Cross Country event.  The Yr.4’s ran 1000m and the Yr5 and Yr.6 children ran 1600m!  Everyone finished the face and should be really proud of themselves.  Meredith came second in the Yr.6 girls’ race and Max came 5th in the Yr.6 boys’ Continue reading

Double Gold and Silver at Speed Stacking!

This afternoon we entered three teams in the Shepway School Games Speed Stacking competition.  The children had to use hand eye co-ordination to compete in twelve different stations.   These included one handed stacking, blindfolded stacking, team stacking and standard stacking.  The speed shown by everyone was amazing and the skill definitely improved across the afternoon.  Continue reading

Bellboat Challenge

Sport 2017 – 2018

Every child in our school took part in at least ten extra curricular sporting activities last year.  This included skiing, horse riding, archery, high ropes, kayaking, bellboating, trampolining and zorbing to name just a few.  See if you can spot your child in the highlights video below.  We have so many talented children.  

18 Mile Bike Ride

On Tuesday ten children from yr.6 took part in an eighteen mile bike ride.  It was perfect weather, with a gentle breeze keeping us cool.  The children showed amazing, skill and perseverance.  We easily reached Port Lympne where we were able to see one of the baby giraffes.  It was a great day.  Well done Continue reading

District Sports

Yesterday some children from yr.4 and Yr.6 entered District sports.  They took part in individual sprint races, relay races, 400m races, javelin and long jump.  Everyone represented us well.

Federation Sports KS1
