Ducklings have learnt a song in French. As you can see they love singing it and doing the actions! They have some excellent French skills and we look forward to seeing them develop their love of the language even further.
If your child is in Reception, year 1 or year 2 they will be learning phonics. Below is a video showing the set 2 and set 3 sounds ably demonstrated by Alexa. You may find this useful to practice with your child.

Today we learned about how many French people celebrate Epiphany and the New Year. We created a salt dough version of a Galette des Rois (King Cake) and some children from each class were chosen to find the fève (the clay bead). Recently we celebrated the work the children had put in on their independent learning topic of Christmas. Winners from each class were invited to show their work to the rest of the school.
We had a great time celebrating Christmas with the school Christmas Dinner. A big thank you to Mr Gerbino who came in to assist with serving the dinners and bringing some festive cheer.
A big thank you to the PTFA, parents and helpers who donated their time, resources and efforts to the Christmas Fair. As you can see there were some lovely stalls and brilliant performances from choir and both KS1 and KS2 dance clubs. Great fun was had by all.
The whole school took part in a creative day themed around Christmas. The children enjoyed the festivities while getting creative. We had some fantastic Christmas cards, Christmas trees, bookmarks, snow globes and angels. There was glitter, glue and Christmas sparkles all over the school.
