Kent School Games Cultural Celebration
We were the only Primary School in Shepway to be awarded the Kent School Games Area Award for Shepway by our local School Games Organisers. We were nominated for various reasons including:
- number of entries into sporting events
- entering every KSG qualifying event, with multiple teams
- representing their School Games Area at the KSG county finals in several sports
- having the ethos and mission for every child to represent their school and take part in competitive sport.
The awards formed part of the KSG Cultural Celebration event. It was a unique, county-wide Talent Show to give talented singers, dancers and variety performers the chance to demonstrate their artistic abilities.
The ceremony took place at Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells on Sunday 7th September 2014.
The sixteen highest participants from across KS2 got to watch some amazing performances judged by celebrities and were part of the celebrations recognising our success in sport over the last year. Jacob and Ruby our highest participating boy and girl last year received the award on behalf of St Eanswythe’s.
