Josh was in again this week to lead worship and to run a Christian club for KS2. The club was well attended with children enjoying learning about God through games, songs, dramas and activities.

On Thursday 18th we had our School Christmas Service. There was standing room only for parents who weren’t disappointed as they watched the Christmas story unfold through singing performances from each class, a tableaux of the stable which built up during he readings and a beautiful rendition of Silent night with lit christingles. Yr.6 attended the town wide mayor’s carol service today. Along with over 200 other children they sang through the Christmas story. On 19th November Yr.5 attended the cathedral. We were one of the 23 schools from across the Diocese that participated. On Friday 7th November 98 children from KS2 attended the West End touring show of Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat in Tonbridge. We have been looking at the story of Joseph in worship and considering how God was with him through all his trials and tribulations. On Thursday 9th October we held our Harvest festival at St Mary and St Eanswythe’s church. Each class sung a song celebrating harvest and thanking God for the provision we have and the people who make this possible. We held a collection for the food bank in Folkestone. Year 6 attended a Friends service at Canterbury Cathedral on Tuesday 23rd September. Twenty four children from Years five and six took part in a tennis club at Folkestone Sports Centre this term. They learnt to serve, play forehand and backhand shots and improve their ball skills. They also learnt how to play and score in both singles and doubles matches. Great fun was had by all.
