Town Council Football Tournament

On 19 March 2015 we took part in the Town Council Football Tournament along with five other schools. We enjoyed an excellent start to the competition in extremely cold conditions. Managing to win four of our first five matches. This pitted us against Sandgate in the Semi-finals, whom we also beat two goals to one.

The Final was a hotly contested affair between ourselves and Stella Maris who had narrowly beaten us earlier in the day. We had the bulk of the possession and many agonisingly close shots, however their defence and some remarkable saves form their goalkeeper held firm. Taking the match into penalties, where they finally came out the victors.

So a very commendable runners up cup was received to the delight of the players, who all enjoyed the day and played amazingly well.
