Art Club goes to the Tate Britain

On Friday Art Club went on a trip to see Tate Britain to explore, discover, sketch and discuss a variety of art forms. We even managed to find some pieces by Paul Nash; the artist we hope to focus and learn from when we create our own pieces of surrealist art.

We saw many famous artists’ work and all had our favourite. Grace in Year 6 loved William Blake whilst Natasha felt Constable was the best. Liliana could not see any art in the Black Canvas and Ms Page couldn’t persuade her otherwise.

Most pupils agreed that we couldn’t decide what was best as we loved it all. Brook said that the best thing was just being allowed to wander and sketch anything we wanted to. On our walk back to the station it was bright and sunny and we saw art every where!
