Cross Country

Twenty children from Year 3,4,5 & 6 took part in a Cross Country Competition at Brockhill park. There were about sixty children in each race.  The Year3’s and 4’s ran 1000m and the Year 5 & 6’s 1600m! Mobiles

As part of our learning we have been designing and making cot mobiles. All of the owls worked very hard on this intricate task today, with many accomplishing the art of tying knots!    

Read Write Inc

Cake sale

Betty, Carys, Ciara, Grace, Jemima, Marni, Renee and Samantha organised a cake sale. They coordinated who made cakes, reminded the classes prior to the event and sold the cakes during break time and after school. Olympic Roadshow

Today six sports coaches came into school to work with us on four different activities. Each child participated in all the sports, I saw lots of concentration and happy faces throughout the morning. Lava Lamps

To culminate our work on Light and Reversible and Irreversible Reactions we made lava lamps in Science.  First we looked at how a real lava lamp worked.  We then created our own lava lamps by causing a chemical reaction in water and oil using an Alka Seltzer tablet.  We identified variables we could change which may Continue reading
