Value of the Term: Perseverance

This term’s value is perseverance. We look at this in connection with the story from Mark 2:1-12 where the four friends took a paralyzed man to see Jesus. We had great fun re-enacting this story using a tarpaulin, the stage stairs and a puppet! We are sure your child will be able to tell you the story, they know it well! We then looked at perseverance in our own lives and how important it is both at school at home.

We used some volunteers to demonstrate perseverance. They all exhibited great perseverance with push ups, bouncing a ball standing on one leg and holding their arms out straight to the side. We learnt to never give up when things seem difficult and that we can always ask God to help us to persevere.
