St Eanswythe’s win Gold in the Bowl Competition at The National Pop Lacrosse Finals!

Our Lacrosse Team won the Shepway finals qualifying for the Kent Finals. From there they managed to gain a place at the National Finals which were held in Sheffield yesterday! This is the first ever National finals St Eanswythe’s has qualified for. As Sheffield is such a long way from us we travelled up on Saturday and stayed overnight. We had luxury accommodation in a Manor House. http://www.oakes.org.uk/ As you can see the children had a lot of fun before the tournament.

There were twenty two teams in the Finals. The teams were split into four divisions. We had some stiff competition and finished 5th in the group stages. The positions in which you finished determined whether you played in the Championship, Cup or Bowl competition. We were in the Bowl competition at this stage in the tournament the games were knockouts. We played with determination and drive, winning every game in the Bowl Competiton. The semi final and finals were nail biting. However, we did it and managed to win every game making us the champions of the Bowl competition. Well done everybody. You did us proud, your behaviour both on and off the pitch was exemplary and your Lacrosse skills were excellent!
