Year 1 Federation Sports Day

This morning Owls went to St Mary’s for our federation sports day. We joined the 60 children from St Marys year 1 and (because of transport issues, instead of also joining Christchurch year 1) we joined St Mary’s reception classes too. Music Assembly

This afternoon we all went to the hall to be entertained by some of our school musicians who have lessons during the school day with “Make Time for Music”. Yr.5/6 Tennis Tournament

This afternoon we took three teams of four children from Yr.5 & 6 to the Shepway Tennis Competition.  Each team was split into two pairs.  These pairs then played all the other teams in doubles matches.  All our children played very well and improved as the games went on.  Some matches were very closely fought Continue reading

Viking Ships Sail Successfully!

Yesterday Yr.6 went to sail their Viking ships in the lake at Kearsney Abbey.  They had worked hard to design and build their ships out of balsa wood.  Yesterday was a great test?  Would they float?  Would they be strong enough to withstand the races?
