Year 1 Federation Sports Day

This morning Owls went to St Mary’s for our federation sports day. We joined the 60 children from St Marys year 1 and (because of transport issues, instead of also joining Christchurch year 1) we joined St Mary’s reception classes too. There were 8 stations in total and we had 5 minutes at each station to do our best. We tried the javelin, standing long jump, bowling to cricket stumps, balancing beam, shuttle run, and improving our aim with 2 throwing stations. Thankfully one of the 8 stations was a rest and drink in the shade! We had great fun and helped and encouraged each other. One of St Eanswythe’s teams came 1st in the whole competition. Well done!
