Year Five KIC Theatre

On Tuesday 7th July Ian from KIC Theatre came in to school. His session with Year Five consisted of lots of imaginative talk about space and aliens. This linked in with the topic we have been looking at this term and allowed the children to show off some of their knowledge. It also created new avenues of imagination and discovery which they may not have thought of.

The most impressive thing about this session was the teamwork and communication that the children showed. Ian put the children into three large groups on purpose in order to see how the children worked in larger groups and how the group dynamics would affect them. All three of the groups very quickly found their feet in a few warm up tasks working well together.

Then finally after a short amount of practise time the children managed to put on three amazing performances that showed imagination, flair and above all fantastic teamwork.
