Yr.6 Leaver’s Service and Bowling

This morning was the Leaver’s Service for Yr.6. We gave thanks for the children and the time that they have had at St Eanswythe’s School and asked God to help them in their future at secondary school and beyond. The children diligently took many roles and responsibilities during the service including being; candle bearers, servers, collecting the offering, Bible reading and leading prayers. Every child read a memory from their time at St Eanswythe’s School, these caused both laughter and tears as children shared happy memories and stated what they would miss about the school.

Every child was given a bible to help guide them through their life. These were presented by Mrs Garrett. A big thank you to all the family and friends of the children and to the staff, children and families from other classes who came to support Yr.6. It made it a really special service.

Following the service the children went bowling in Ashford. Great fun was had by all with many strikes and spares scored!
