Cursive Handwriting

In Owls we introduce cursive handwriting so the children can begin to form the letters needed for joined handwriting. This term we start with a lot of Write Dance – which is movement to music to improve gross motor skills and also drawing/writing continual patterns on paper with crayons (also to music). We also have an app for the ipads called crazy cursive which allows the children to practise the direction and flow of cursive letters. I’ll send home a sheet of letters for you to see towards the end of term.
