Sycamore Seeds & Air Resistance

We looked at sycamore seeds this morning and considered the forces acting on them.  We then made our own sycamore seeds using paper and designed an investigation to see what affected how fast they fell to the ground.  Different pairs changed the size, weight and material of the seed.  We found that the surface area of the wings, stiffness of the material and weight of the sycamore seed affected how quickly it fell to the ground and how well it spun.
