Advent Family Worship

Today is the first Sunday of Advent and so Mrs Garrett lit the first candle on our advent wreath. We sang songs a Capella, led by Father David and all of the children came to the front of the church to say the school prayer together. The Rev Cameron told as all about the different meanings behind the lighting of each candle and helped to us consider what or who we were getting ready for.

Josephine, Lily and Ella read from the Gospel beautifully and Nicole, Lily-May and Carys read the prayers with real expression.

At the end of the service all the children took home a scene from the advent which they can scratch design. Lots of people came and it was lovely to see the church so full.
