Mayor’s Carol Service

Yesterday Yr.6 went to the Mayor’s Carol Service.  Councillor Emily Arnold, gave a talk on family and how Christmas is about supporting one another.  Maisie and Christopher were involved in this talk.  We then, along with five hundred other Year Six children, sang carols and listened to Bible readings reminding us why we celebrate Christmas.  Continue reading

Forces

During their final lesson on forces Yr.6 investigated how to change the distance a car travelled after rolling down a ramp. They looked at changing the type of car, height of ramp or surface the ramp was covered in. Some excellent investigational skills were witnessed!

Netball – Gold!

  Tonight was the culmination of the Shepway Sports Trust Netball Elite and Development Leagues.  This started several weeks ago but was postponed due to bad weather.  Both teams played really well over both events.   Harry managed to score four goals in one game this evening!  The Blue team got gold in the Elite league becoming Continue reading

KS2 Nativity- Day 1

Today saw the first of St Eanswythe’s Nativity plays. KS2 performed a musical version of the biblical story called ‘Sheik, Rattle and Roll.’ There was excellent singing from the choir, amazing solos and word perfect lines. Ihab, Harry, Abi and Erin even stood in at the last minute due to illness. Well done everyone.  

Roman day!

On Thursday 26th November class 3 had a Roman day. As well as sharing some facts and poems we had learnt with the school and our parents, we learnt some Roman numerals and had a Roman feast!

Roman coins

Class 3 have been learning how to write explanation texts. We wrote an explanation on how to make a Roman coin decoration then we made a decoration using clay. We will putting the finishing touches to them later next week!

St Eanswythe’s Christmas Fair

Today’s Christmas Fair was a very exciting event organised by our super PTFA. There was everything there ….cakes, decorations, gingerbread houses, an amazing raffle, games and lots of crafts and presents that you could buy.
