Art Club Achieve the Discovery Art Award

This morning our art club pupils received their Discovery Art Award Certificates from local artist Phil Garvey. To achieve Discover, the children  had to  explore the arts around them, find out about artists and their work and share their experiences with others. They did all this and more which was why they were awarded their certificates. Betty and Abby from Year 5 helped lead the assembly, they told the whole school what they had done to to gain their award. It was great to look back on all the exciting things they had done, visiting the Tate Britain, meeting local art students and getting to work with local artists like Phil. We are very proud of their achievement and hope it will inspire them to gain the next art award. Thank you to Phil who has given so freely of his time and talent.
