Building Creature Homes

On Friday we were joined by Helen from Folkestone Academy radio. She helped us to build some creature homes for small creatures like woodlice and spiders. We looked at a wax comb from a bee hive and noticed the size and shape of the cells. Then we made our own circular holes in clay and tied together bamboo which is a hollow stick. By creating these small holes we could give our creatures shelter and safety in their houses. Finally we placed our homes outside and are excitedly awaiting new inhabitants!
