Gold and Silver at Shepway Basketball Competition!

Yesterday St Eanswythe’s entered two teams into the Shepway Basketball competition. There were eleven teams in total from schools across the district. The competition was split into leagues. Both St Eanswythe’s teams won all the games in their leagues which meant that they qualified for the semi finals. St Eanswythe’s 1 faced Selsted and St Eanswythe’s 2 played Sandgate. Team 2’s game was particularly close ending in a draw and requiring extra time. Jonathon scored the winning basket in the extra time which meant that the final was an all St Eanswythe’s affair. St Eanswythe’s 1 were the overall winners which means they have qualified for the Kent Finals in February. Well done everyone!
