Owl Assembly

We had a fabulous assembly today with Erika and Lisa from “Nite Owls.” They bought 5 different owls  with them, including a barn owl, an African eagle owl, a tawny owl, a scops owl and a little owl. We learnt what they eat,  heard many of the different noises they make and got to watch them fly – a few lucky children even got to hold them and be a landing post! It was amazing how quietly they flew, which is how they can successfully catch their prey.

After the assembly every child got to have their photo taken with a barn owl on their shoulder. Proofs of these will be sent home as soon as we have them and you can buy them if you wish.
