Eagles Learn About Materials

In Science we have been learning all about materials and their uses. Today we combined our science topic with our general topic of fire. We looked at the materials of ice and chocolate. Discovering that heat would change these solid forms into liquids we melted both ice and chocolate with our hands and then with candles. Chocolate melted much faster than ice and we learnt that was because the temperature of the chocolate was higher than the ice to start with. We also noticed that chocolate tastes a lot better than ice!!!
