Mother’s Day Tea
Today Year 4 held a Mother’s Day tea, each child could invite their mum or a female that helps care for them if their mum could not make it to the event. As the guests arrived the children escorted them upstairs to a table all laid up beautifully with flowers and cakes. Thank you to members of the PTFA.
Having served tea or coffee to their guests Year 4 then started to entertain them. We began by playing violins and then singing and playing together conducted by Mrs Jones. Next came the first half of the fantastic individual type performances, followed by everyone playing ther ukuleles and singing at the same time.
The second half began with a poem and continued with more brilliant single and paired performances, the whole class then did a fun song and dance about disasters that can happen when children try to help out on Mother’s Day.
Our last song was ‘You Raise Me Up’, which included actions, and then more tea and spending time with our guests. The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
