Breaking Waves Dance Show Videos

Below are the videos from Yr5 & 6 dance club’s  performance of ‘The Puppet Master’ and year 4’s performance of ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ at the Breaking Waves dance show.  We’re sure you will agree that they are both amazing; well done everyone!    


Below are some videos showing the correct pronunciation of the set 2 and 3 RWInc sounds.  We hope this will help you to practice these with your child.  A big thank you to our very able and willing volunteer in the videos!  

Sacconi Performance

Worship with Dave Barker

On Thursday Dave Barker, from Cheriton Baptist Church, came in to lead our worship.  We thought about perseverance linked to the story of The Four Friends found in Mark 2:1-12.  This is one of our school values.

Objects and Meanings: Still Life

Year 5 have been looking at a range of still life art works this term. They have been thinking about objects chosen by different artists and what they symbolise. Determination Workshop

Girls’ Football Friendly

This evening Hythe Bay invited us to play a friendly match against their girls’ football team.  Despite the rain both teams were very enthusiastic.  We ended with a narrow victory of 6-5.  It was a very close match, at half time we were losing 1-4.  However, the girls fought back with perseverance and determination.  They Continue reading

Ascension day

As Ascension Day falls in our holidays this year we celebrated it today.  KS2 along with year three from Christchurch and St Mary’s took part in a service looking at Jesus going back to heaven to be with his father.  We were led in prayers from St Mary’s and the bible reading from Christchurch.  A Continue reading

Stop Frame Animation

Year six have been looking at animation in ICT.  Today, they learnt how to use a stop frame animation app on the iPad.  First they used playmobil characters to create a short story and get used to the software. They then looked at how Aardman animations use storyboards and how they bring these to life.  Continue reading
