Advent Calendars

Today in RE we made advent calendars ready for the count down to Christmas. The children had to work together in groups of three or four to create their group calendar sharing the workload evenly, as well as deciding the best way of tackling the task.

The Good Samaritan

Today’s buddy worship was based on the story of the Good Samaritan. Family Worship – Yr.5

After a busy week practising for our Family Worship the day arrived.  All the children enthusiastically did their best to convey some of the learning that has taken place in Class 5 this term.  We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!

Hot or Cold or Both

Today in science, Year 4 were thinking about temperature. For two minutes we held one finger from each hand in a cup of water. One cup contained hot water and the other cold. This afternoon the whole school had a great time watching a pantomime about Peter Pan. The cast from M+M Theatrical Productions performed the show for the children with great enthusiasm using comedy, music and dancing to entertain. The children I spoke to following the performance were all eager to tell me about their favourite parts.
