Last week, Year 3 had a lot of fun being boat makers! They spent time imagining, designing and creating our watery masterpieces! Well done to the whole class who were very creative and kind and helpful to each other!
In class we learnt about growing things, we planted cress seeds and took them home to care for. As homework the Ducklings grew their cress then created their own dinosaur garden to bring back into class. The children then shared their gardens with the rest of the class. We were very impressed by the creativity.
Last week every class in KS2 had a workshop with Patti Mills from Hythe Squash Club. The children learnt many racket skills and the older ones were able to use rebound nets to create rallies. It was great fun for everyone!
This morning we had Matt from Kent Community Cricket visit us to lead assembly. He talked about the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ and the values that made the game work. This morning we had a visit from PC Pepper and PC Goldswain another handler with their police dogs. They explained their roles and some of the jobs the dogs support them with. This evening we took forty children from Yr.1 and Yr.2 to Kids Planet. The children used the apparatus, and challenged themselves in many ways.
