Netball Finals

On Thursday, during the holidays, some dedicated sporting children went to the Shepway netball finals which they had qualified for the previous week!  There were six teams in the finals, everyone played well.  We won three of our five games putting us third overall.  Well done everyone and a special thank you to our stand Continue reading

Sponsored Walk

Petit Chaperon Rouge

Year 5 have been working hard all term to prepare a performance of Petit Chaperon Rouge (Little Red Riding Hood). They have practised lines in French and decided whether they would act, use puppets or pictures.  Today they performed these for the Ducklings. Well Done Yr.6!

This week Yr.6 have had their SATs tests.  We are really proud of all of them.  Everyone has worked so hard, they have persevered with things they found difficult and shown exemplary attitudes to learning throughout this year.  Yr.6 all came to school this week with positive attitudes and have been a credit to the school.  To celebrate we Continue reading


Today, in Science, Year 4 were melting solids and turning them into liquids. We used the heat from lit candles to melt ice, milk chocolate, butter and white chocolate.

Shepway Netball Competition

Yesterday, two teams from Yr.6 entered the Shepway netball competition at The Folkestone School for Girls.  Both teams played really well and won some of their matches.  The dark blues won all the games in their league qualifying for the semi finals.  They played well at this stage losing a close game 1-0 to Sandgate and Continue reading

Skiing Club

Some of years five and six have taken part in skiing club this term.  They have learnt how to walk up the slope sideways and how to control their speed as they come down the slope.  It has been great fun.    

Archery Club

This term, some of years five and six have taken part in archery club.  They have learnt the correct stance and have been perfecting their shooting technique.  Everyone is now able to hit the target, with some even managing to pop balloons and get golds on the target!  Well done everyone.


On Thursday this week, all of Year 4 went to Etchinghill Golf Course to participate in golf activities against other teams. For each different activity, the three teams that we split into, scored various points.
