18 Mile Bike Ride

On Tuesday ten children from yr.6 took part in an eighteen mile bike ride.  It was perfect weather, with a gentle breeze keeping us cool.  The children showed amazing, skill and perseverance.  We easily reached Port Lympne where we were able to see one of the baby giraffes.  It was a great day.  Well done Continue reading

District Sports

Yesterday some children from yr.4 and Yr.6 entered District sports.  They took part in individual sprint races, relay races, 400m races, javelin and long jump.  Everyone represented us well.

Federation Sports KS1

On Monday we held our federation sports day.  Yr.R went to Christchurch, Yr.1 to St Mary’s and Yr.2 stayed at St Eanswythe’s.  each class was split into three teams where they competed against twelve teams from the other schools.  They took part in running, agility, javelin, target throw, balancing and long jump events.  At each event they Continue reading

Yr 4 Bushcraft

This week Year 4 went to Folkestone Sports Centre for their Bushcraft session. Everyone had a great time whittling wood, chopping kindling, making bases and shelters, clearing plants, bug hunting, hanging around in hammocks and persevering with trying to light fires. We then stopped for a picnic lunch and a play in the park.

Chicken Visit

Last week Mrs Paterson kindly brought one of her chickens in to visit Year 4. She shared lots of information about her chicken which was actually one of the eggs that hatched last year in Eagles’ class. Leaver’s Service
