In social club the children created calendars ready for 2019.
The theme of this week’s worship was our value of the term, compassion. Our worship leaders downloaded an excellent video retelling of the story of the Good Samaritan. They then used effective questioning to draw out the meaning of the story and to apply it to our lives.
Yr.6 have been studying the book, ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo. Michael is stranded on an island with a war veteran called Kensuke. Kensuke teaches Michael to paint on shells using octopus ink. Yr.6 used ink to represent some of the creatures he would have seen on the island on large clam shells. Its not … Continue reading
Mr Brinkley looked at the story of the Good Samaritan, using the rival football teams Arsenal and Chelsea. The children considered who they expected to help and who was the good neighbour. They then considered who they wanted to be like in the story.
