Year Six excel in French

Year Six have been working hard to demonstrate all the French they have been learning whilst at St Eanswythe’s. They wrote about themselves and then decided how to present their work for display. This is the finished result. Well done Year Six!            

Celebrations in Ducklings

Ducklings have been busy learning about different celebrations and how people celebrate them. We have created poppies, poppy biscuits and enjoyed creating wreaths of remembrance.  We have also written remembrance words. To support Diwali, festival of light we have created Diwali pictures and used clay to create diva pots and made lanterns.

Volume of a Cuboid

In Numeracy we have been recapping previous knowledge about area and have now started working on volume of a 3D shape. The children built a cuboid with given dimensions and then had a challenge to design and build a cuboid with a given volume. The children felt proud of themselves when they solved the puzzle.

Year 3 Roman Workshop

Earlier this week Year 3 were lucky enough to attend a workshop at Folkestone museum to find out what life was like for Roman citizens! Football Match

On Monday we had two friendly matches against The Primary Academy.  Both games were played in good spirits and just finished before the rain came!  The blue team had a tough, closely fought match just managing to beat Primary Academy 4-3.  The red team formed mixed teams with the Primary Academy and enjoyed playing together.  Continue reading

Worship Leaders

The Yr.6 worship leaders looked at friendship this week, they considered what makes a good friend and what we can do if we are worried about something or if someone is not kind to us.  They led every part of the worship including the responses, lighting the candles, the songs, choosing children to pray and Continue reading


Yr.6 experimented with yeast this week.  They looked at the conditions that yeast needed in order to respire.  They found that it needed moisture but it preferred to have warmth and sugar as well.  These test tubes produced a lot of carbon dioxide bubbles.
