Wingham Wildlife Park

The Ducklings had super weather for their trip to Wingham. They explored the park in small groups, learning all about the different animals, some fed the Meerkats and goats. Mrs Price was chased by a bird! We also got up close to a snake and tarantula skin.

Bush Craft

The Ducklings had a great morning discovering the outdoors at bushcraft. We, learnt how to be safe around the camp fire, how to start fires and put them out safely. We explored different ways of making shelters and discovered many different bugs!

Newest addition to Class 2

In Eagles class, we have been incubating 9 chicken eggs for the last 21 days (as part of our science learning). This morning at 10:15, the first chick hatched! Eagles Visit Wingham

Today Eagles Class enjoyed a fantastic trip to Wingham Wildlife Park. We have been learning all about animals in class and it was great to see so many amazing creatures up close. Mrs Simmons

Today we said goodbye to Mrs Simmons, she has taught in our school for eleven years. Netball

Yesterday we took two teams to a netball tournament at Folkestone School For Girls. We played high five netball against many other schools. Everyone had a great time and improved their skills a lot.

Hockey

Today we took sixteen children from years five and six to the Shepway School Games hockey tournament. Each team played eight games of hockey and improved as the day progressed. The blue team ended up in fifth place out of the sixteen teams which entered. The red team played really well and showed excellent sportsmanship. Continue reading

Last week, Yr.6 sat their SATs tests. We want to say a big well done to each and every one of them for their hard work, fantastic attitudes and determination. Year 3 Music and Culture Day!

Year 3 were lucky enough to be invited to a Music and Culture Day, which took place at the Grand Hotel.
