How the Heart Works

Class 5 have been learning about the human body in science this term. We have studied the function of the heart and how it pumps blood around the body. Using blue bean bags to represent deoxygenated blood and red beans to show oxygenated blood, we physically walked the path the blood takes to the lungs and back followed by the journey to the body and back. We also labelled heart diagrams, made paper heart models and wrote explanations.
