Today the Ducklings enjoyed a variety of sporting activities including – hockey, badminton, lacrosse and bowling. They were all very well behaved and had lots of fun.
Yr.6 investigated why some things float and some things sink. They found that water pushes up against objects with a force called up thrust. They weighed objects using Newton metres in air and in water and found that things appear to weigh less in water due to the force of upthrust.
We have been reading The Hundred Mile An Hour Dog, by Jeremy Strong. We have made puppets of the characters and have performed sketches about some funny moments in the story. Here are some examples of our puppets:
