Today, pupils in years 5 & 6 had a talk about the Holocaust Memorial Day project led by The East Cliff Creatives. The children learned about the ten stages of genocide and some of the terrible global events that have taken place.
The children designed logos and wrote sentences to show the importance of young people supporting human rights and standing against genocide. Some of these designs will be displayed during an exhibition starting at the end of January at the bottom of The Old High Street. A large poster of the HMD logo will also be displayed containing hundreds of photos of pupils (including St Eanswythes’ students) who support the cause.
