Acidic Reactions

Yr.6 experimented with acids (vinegar and lemon juice) this morning. They found that some substances that don’t react with water react with acids to create bubbles. They looked at acid rain, how it is formed and the damage that it can do. Yr.6 then worked in pairs to create their own mini volcano before using a volcano kit to put it under pressure. The reaction was so powerful it reached the ceiling!
