Year 4’s Hindu Creative Afternoon

As part of our world faith week, Year 4 had a creative afternoon. After making comic strips of the key story in Hinduism; Rama and Sita, the children made shadow puppets. Some children used split pins and black card to make articulated shadow puppets which gave the characters more movement. We practiced our show on the whiteboard before using a cardboard box and torch to create the shadows. The shows were brilliant!

We also had a Hindu food tasting session and the children got to try poppadum, raita dip and onion bhajis- the poppadum was a big hit!
