Owls Search for Signs of Spring

Today Owls Class went on a search for signs of Spring as part of our seasons topic and literacy. We went out exploring in the school playground, visited the Bayle Pond and the graveyard of the church, armed with our literary books that had a checklist of things to spot. We were trying to tick as many items off our list as we could. We saw flowers in bloom, birds in the trees, we listened for birds singing, saw seedings emerging, we even spotted some young newts in the pond, which we all found really exciting. When we got back to class we wrote sentences about what we had seen on our walk and also sentences about what our favourite thing about Spring is.
