Jubilee Celebrations In Eagles Class

On Monday Year 2 celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by talking about the Queen and the other countries she is queen of. We read a funny book called ‘The Queen’s Knickers’ by Nicholas Allan, then we designed our own knickers for the queen to wear. We made some very cute Corgis and Queens from recycled toilet roll tubes. Mrs Honzik very kindly brought in two mugs that she had been given in primary school to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 so we all had a look at those. Then of course we spent the afternoon having a Jubilee picnic with the rest of the school and playing games.
