Annual Councillors Cup

Today some of our year 5s and 6s took part in a primary school football tournament. Throughout the day we played seven matches. For the first part of the day we played against the other five teams in our pool. The children demonstrated great sportsmanship and determination throughout. We finished our games, managing to win three, drawing one and just losing one in the last minutes. We came across some very strong competition along the way. 

In the final part of the afternoon we showed a tremendous effort, winning the semi final. The children were delighted to be through to the final. Again we saw some fabulous skills on the ball and great teamwork by all enabling us to win 1 – 0.

All the children received a well earnt medal and as a team, we were presented the tournament shield by the town Mayor.
