French Day in Year 3
The children all looked fabulous in their red, white and blue clothes this morning and we started our day with a French breakfast. We had croissants, brioches, madeleines, strawberries and baguette…the only thing missing were crepes. In the afternoon, we learnt about Bastille day and why the French celebrate. We then got creative and had the option of using paints, felt tips or colouring pencils to create the tricolore flag, the Eiffel Tower (built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution) or the Storming of the Bastille. The children have really enjoyed learning more about French history today.
