Year 1 used their creative skills to use recycled tubes to make octopuses. We learnt how octopuses protect themselves from predators and how enormous their brains are! We drew suckers on their eight tentacles and they now look super on display in our classroom!
This afternoon owls have been getting creative making our own rainbow fish and starfish to go on display outside our classroom. They look amazing, well done Owls!

A few days before Mother’s Day, Year 1 worked hard to make some beautiful cards for their amazing Mum’s! Hopefully you enjoyed receiving them last week as much as the class enjoyed making them and writing lovely messages!
This week Year 1 have been learning about how fruits and vegetables are seasonal and the different fruit and vegetables that grow in the different seasons. We created portraits in the style of Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, drawing only fruit and vegetables to create facial features.

Yesterday Year 1 went to visit Folkestone museum to look at the ancient artefacts they have. We were lucky enough to see a real woolly mammoth tooth that was found in Radnor Park!
