Today we had our first gymnastics club. We learnt the safety rules and the names of equipment used such as the vault and springboard. We practiced pencil rolls and forward rolls, balanced on the benches and jumped off the vault landing onto the crash mat.
This week we have been busy getting to know each other. We have been writing our names, using scissors, exploring the pond, learning to share and working together, taking part in PE in the hall, visiting the computer suite learning the school rules.
The Ducklings have had a fun packed first week. Their first week was been all about getting to know their learning environment. Today has been a fun day. We have been creative with paint, built forts, worked together to complete some puzzles and watched a film. We ended the day by sharing our favourite moments as Ducklings and things that we are looking forward to as Owls.
Today Ducklings had our (socially distanced) Sports Day. Ducklings A used the bottom playground and Ducklings B used the top playground.
