Today we went to Canterbury Christ Church University to participate in two Dance workshops.     .       .              .         .  

Hockey

WELL DONE To Enes, Jemima, Jonathan, Carys, Kru, William, Samantha and Samuel in Year 4 who won silver in last week’s Folkestone Hockey Tournament for Year 4. They played against other teams from St Eanswythe’s, Christchurch, St Mary’s, The Primary Academy and Stella Maris.                

Mothers’ Day Tea Party

Year 4 held a Mothers’ Day Tea Party. We we met our mums at the door and showed them upstairs. The hall was set out ready for all our guests, Mums, Nans and Aunties. Peer Pressure

We did our family Worship on the subject of negative peer pressure and the difficulties faced by some teenagers. The story involved one person deciding to contact a couple of friends for a small party. Using modern technology for texting the news about a party soon spreads. Shakespeare

We have been to The Quarterhouse in Tontine Street to watch a shortened version of A Comedy Of Errors originally written by William Shakespeare and adapted for children. The story is about two sets of twins each getting separated shortly after birth and then finding their siblings later in life, which causes lots of confusion. It Continue reading

Narnia

Our class had a great time working with Graham and Hannah acting out some of the scenes from the Narnia book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and then joining in with Godly play making links between the book and the Easter story.                       .         

Features of our Church

Year 4 went to the Church to look for specific features of a Christian Church. Year 4 have studied Judaism as part of our RE lessons. .    We used a Yad to point to a Torah and looked at other resources to aid our learning.
