Class 5 Beach Maths

After learning all about Roman numerals in maths this morning, we decided to take a walk down to the beach for a larger writing area! We have been continuing to have fun in Key Worker Group B. Just a few of the activities we have enjoyed this week include designing, making and launching water pressure rockets; making delicious Rocky Road treats, enjoying the lovely weather and playing maths games in the Bayle pond area.

Class 5 – Tri Golf

This week, Class 5 were given the opportunity to take part in a Tri Golf session in school. They learned all about club control, correct swing action and ball accuracy. Expert coaching was provided by Aaron, a PGA Professional at Sene Valley Golf Course.

Y5 Poetry Workshop

Today, Class 5 were visited by Tanya and Emily from Folkestone Creative. We read and listened to a number of poems by Yoko Ono focusing around the theme ‘Earth Peace’. Today Class 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Houses of Parliament in London. Our day began with a visit to Westminster Abbey.
