KS1 Sports Day

We were really disappointed not to be able have parents at Sports day due to the weather. However, I’m sure you can see from the photos what a fantastic time all of the children had and the fabulous support they all gave to each other. First every child ran in a flat race (running race) followed Continue reading

KS1 Beach day

Key stage 1 had a fabulous day at the beach yesterday – and we even managed to dodge the rain! We started at Sunny Sands where we made sand sculptures, drew in the sand and went rock-pooling. Then we walked to the coastal park for lunch and a play. We had an amazing day, finished Continue reading

Eagles Swimming Gala

Yesterday afternoon 11 children from Eagles went to Christchurch primary school to take part in a year 2 swimming gala. There were 6 events – some with floats, woggles and some completely unaided. It was great fun and all of the swimmers were fantastic. Well done.

Beach Quest

Today year 5 and Eagles buddied up to complete a quest. We started the day by sharing a book ‘The Magic Beach’ by Alison Lester. It is a rhyming story about the wonders at a beach. Each verse looks at different elements and our buddies’ quest was to complete a sand sculpture based around one of Continue reading

Food Chains

As part of our science learning last term we took advantage of the beautiful weather and investigated evidence of food chains. We always started with the plant (the producer) and then looked for evidence of animals that  feed on the plants and then other animals (predators) that would feed on them!
