This morning our art club pupils received their Discovery Art Award Certificates from local artist Phil Garvey. A dinosaur egg arrived in Ducklings today. We made it a nest and we have drawn a warning poster to make sure nobody touches it because it is very precious! We have also been trying to guess what type of dinosaur will come out of the egg. We can’t wait for it to hatch!
Colouring and construction got off to a great start today. We coloured winter pictures and built castles and towers.

This afternoon Yr.1 made Christmas crackers with their Yr.6 buddies. Into their cracker they placed a toy, a snap, wrote a joke and made a crown. Today we spent the whole morning making, cards, wrapping paper, ornaments and Reindeer bags to help us all celebrate Christmas. Eagles have designed and then created their own rockets. It was quite tricky as we used only junk modelling materials, paper and tape. We worked really hard and our designs were all different and amazing! Can you see how closely we followed our original designs?
Class 3 have been learning how to write explanation texts. We wrote an explanation on how to make a Roman coin decoration then we made a decoration using clay. We will putting the finishing touches to them later next week!
