This afternoon we have taken part in a creative story writing workshop. This project will result in oral storytelling, available by using QR codes at various points along the Coastal Park in Folkestone. Hopefully you will be able to listen to some of the chosen stories!

In social club the children got creative with some paint! Afterwards they enjoyed a lovely meal.
This week Year 1 have been learning about how fruits and vegetables are seasonal and the different fruit and vegetables that grow in the different seasons. We created portraits in the style of Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, drawing only fruit and vegetables to create facial features.
In ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’, Michael and Kensuke use octopus ink to paint on shells. Yr.6 tried to replicate this using ink and very fine brushes to paint creatures from the story onto shells. They found it to be quite tricky but created some excellent designs.
Yr.3 thought about what a balanced diet means and created their favourite meal with this in mind .
Yesterday Year 1 went to visit Folkestone museum to look at the ancient artefacts they have. We were lucky enough to see a real woolly mammoth tooth that was found in Radnor Park!
This term, as Christmas approached Year 1 got creative. The children made some beautiful festive decorations, cards and some sweets and crackers with our Year 3 reading buddies. Merry Christmas!
Eagles got to do a bit of sparkle and shine yesterday! We all had a plain bauble and the idea was to decorate it with as much glitter and shiny snowflakes as they could! Well by the end of the afternoon we had some super glittery baubles and a fabulous glittery floor!
