Shepway School Games Virtual Competitions

Dances Inspired by Diversity

Yr.6 watched the dance performed by Diversity in the finals of ‘Britian’s Got Talent.’ The dance summarises some of the things that have happened this year including COVID, the Black Lives Matter Movement and the celebration of the NHS. Yr 4 Basketball Challenge

Today Year 4 participated in a Folkestone school games basketball competition. There were five activities including the standing bounce, seated bounce, hoop shoot, figure of eight and head, waist, knees. The children worked hard on the challenges and enjoyed themselves. 

Year 6 Hindu Creative Afternoon

Year 6 had a fantastic afternoon to consolidate our learning on Hinduism. They had a Hindi dance lesson and looked at specific moves to incorporate into a short routine (have a look at our videos!) Cycling Club in the Rain!

Seven brave members of cycling club were not prepared to postpone cycling club for the third time due to the weather! Yr.5 Watersports Afternoon

On Friday, Yr.5 headed down to Seapoint Canoe Centre where they all had a session in an open canoe, one on a giant paddle board and a turn on sit on kayaks. Everyone had great fun, some overcame their fears and found they really enjoyed themselves and lots showed brilliant skills. Well done everyone!  

St Eanswythes’ go Hoop Hopping Crazy!

  This term the whole school took part in our term one intra sports competition. Dance Club does Lion King!

 During musical week at dance club, the children performed dances to music from The Lion King. They looked at some pictures from Lion King the musical and thought about the different ways they could use their bodies to portray the animals.
