Today Year 4 participated in a Folkestone school games basketball competition. There were five activities including the standing bounce, seated bounce, hoop shoot, figure of eight and head, waist, knees. The children worked hard on the challenges and enjoyed themselves.

On Friday, Yr.5 headed down to Seapoint Canoe Centre where they all had a session in an open canoe, one on a giant paddle board and a turn on sit on kayaks. Everyone had great fun, some overcame their fears and found they really enjoyed themselves and lots showed brilliant skills. Well done everyone!
This term the whole school took part in our term one intra sports competition. The children had to race against the clock, hopping through hula hoops as many times as they could in twenty seconds. This afternoon Yr.6 headed to Seapoint Canoe Centre. Everyone was able to have a turn in an individual kayak, an open canoe and have a go on a giant paddleboard. It was great fun – we have some super paddlers in our midst!

Today we had our first gymnastics club. We learnt the safety rules and the names of equipment used such as the vault and springboard. We practiced pencil rolls and forward rolls, balanced on the benches and jumped off the vault landing onto the crash mat.
