Year 3 Swimming Week

Last week a group of year 3 children headed over to Christchurch Primary for an intensive swimming course run by Mr Wick and Mrs Crockford. Inclusive Sports Festival

Today Year 6 took part in an Inclusive Sports Festival which took place at The Three Hills. The children had lots of fun trying new sports which included wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball and table cricket. KnuckleBall Workshop

Today, Year 6 were lucky enough to take part in a KnuckleBall workshop delivered by the legendary KnuckleBall Twins, Charlie and Sammy.  Our workshop started with a theory based session in the classroom learning what KnuckleBall is. Sports Fun

Ducklings and Owls had an exciting time at the Three Hills Sports Centre participating in different activities. We practised throwing the javelin, pushing the curling stones, jumping over the hurdles, kicking footballs into the goals and many more skills. To finish off the day a surprise visitor popped in to say Hi!   

Football Skills

During our PE this week we have been practising our skills in controlling the football. First we used the bottom of our foot and then each side of our foot. We took great care not to go too fast as we found out you could loose control if you did that.

Speed Stacking Ducklings

Ducklings showed their skills with a new activity today. Hand eye coordination was the name of the game beginning with three cups and building up to six. Great fun was had by all and we have the beginnings of some expert ‘Speed Stackers’.

Town Council Football

Today we entered a team into the Folkestone Town Council Football Tournament. Our team, which consisted of players taken from years 5 and 6, played very well together many swapping positions between forwards, midfield, defenders and goal keeper.  We reached the semi final which sadly we lost, but then went on to win the play-offs Continue reading
