This term twelve children from Yr.6 have taken part in trampolining club at The Sports Centre. They have learnt how to do seat drops, swivel hips, front drops, back drops, sequences involving twists and are working on their somersaults. They have really enjoyed it and improve each week.
Today two teams of children from Yr.5 and Yr.6 headed to the Sports Centre to take part in a water polo competition. Everyone played really well. Today the Ducklings enjoyed a variety of sporting activities including – hockey, badminton, lacrosse and bowling. They were all very well behaved and had lots of fun.
Years 1-6 had great fun participating in Tiempo dance and fitness workshops today. Some of the moves were very fast and tricky! You can see from the photographs how much they enjoyed it!
This morning Year 4 went to the Three Hills for a multiskills event. There were several different sporting activities including badminton, cricket, golf, hockey and basketball. This afternoon many of us were introduced to Speed Stacking. This is a sport where cups have to be stacked and then taken down with speed and accuracy. We have started to learn with 6 cups in a 3-3 formation, it was quite tricky to start with but we soon got the hang of it!
We took another twenty children from years five and six to Clip and Climb in Dover this evening. Everyone had great fun and increased in confidence as the session progressed. We have some amazing climbers amongst our children. Well done everyone!
This morning, the whole school walked along the Leas to the Metropole. When we got there everyone was able to take advantage of the lovely grassy space and played together. The older children were excellent at looking after their buddies.
