Eagles PE

Today we learnt a new game called Dodge Ball. Using our ability of changing direction, as fast as the wind, we skillfully ran the gauntlet from one end of the hall to the other. We supported each other with cheering and congratulated those who managed to dodge the ball.

Year 4 PE

This week in PE the children had the opportunity to use the gymnastic equipment and all the children were very excited! They demonstrated different  jumps such as pike, straddle, full turns, tuck and star jumps.

Year 2 PE

We had lots of fun yesterday in PE. We started by warming our bodies up so we were ready to exercise. We then practised moving quickly in different directions. Finally we got into teams and played a game that used our skills!

Year 4 – Racket Ball

Yesterday, year 4 had the opportunity to go to the Three hills to take part in a racket ball event. Archery Skills

Today it was time for Year 3 to take on the archery challenge. It could not have been more perfectly timed as today was another wash out for playtimes! The children were very keen and excited to take on this sport and came back very enthusiastic to take up this as a new sport. 

Eagles Archers

Eagles had the opportunity to learn some new skills by having an archery lesson. Great listening skills were observed and showed important health and safety measures were followed. The bows were a bit tricky to hold while loading the arrow, but we soon mastered this, some fine archers soon became apparent. 

Annual Councillors Cup

Today some of our year 5s and 6s took part in a primary school football tournament. Throughout the day we played seven matches. For the first part of the day we played against the other five teams in our pool. The children demonstrated great sportsmanship and determination throughout. Sikhi Dancing

We have all been busy celebrating Sikhi week with a special dance class. James visited the school today to teach us some traditional Indian dance moves, taking inspiration from Bhangra and Bollywood dance moves.
